Why do YOU support the Memphis Public Libraries? We’ve asked donors like you why they’re giving to the Memphis Library Foundation this year. Here's what they've said:
- They value having a nationally recognized library system right here in Memphis
- They know that city funds don't cover everything people need from the library
- Many branches still don't have Teen Innovation Centers, DiscoverREAD Centers, and other essential services
Private donors like you make library programs and improvements possible. The city does not fund the majority of Memphis Public Libraries programming, such as Teen Innovation Centers, DiscoverREAD early literacy centers, JobLINC, Connect Crew outreach activities, special collections, and more. These programs all provide important services to you, me, and all of your Memphis neighbors.
